Les prouesses techniques de ce dernier font écho aux innovations des mouvements quartz d’avant-garde produits par Longines dès les années 1960. Cette pièce permet de chronométrer avec une précision atteignant le centième de seconde un parcours de saut d’obstacles ainsi que de convertir les pénalités en temps ou d’ajouter des pénalités de temps lors d’un dépassement du temps alloué, selon le barème (A ou C) appliqué au dit parcours.
